about

Cartel Productions is the name used by David Kempston (aka CLATTERBOX) for his house music productions. Drawing heavily on the deep house sounds of Masters at Work and Todd Terry, and the acid grooves of Chicago. Cartel Productions house music was produced to capture the sound of the golden era of house music, keeping things simple with a bit of swing and above all funky ass grooves.

CARTEL PRODUCTIONS - VOLUME 1 is the first collection of works produced in a period spanning 1999 - 2002.
The tracks chosen for this volume have a Chicago House feel to them, with fat squelchy bass lines and tough 909 drum kicks.
If you like your house funky and ‘old school’ then look no further than these Cartel Productions releases.

Originally released in 2008 on DJK productions.
